Casting: your video introduction

Everything you need to record a strong casting stream — step by step.

Casting stream — 15+ minutes 1 hour on air = a counted day Introduce yourself in English

Phone, camera, light

Wipe your camera lens before going live — the picture must be sharp.
Light on your face. Ideal: daylight from a window or a selfie ring lamp. Light from behind or above creates shadows — avoid it.
Phone slightly above eye level, tilted a little downwards — the most flattering angle. Sit not too close and not too far.
Place the phone on a stable surface. Never hold it in your hands — the picture will shake.
Close other apps and tabs so nothing interferes with your connection.
Music — only from another device! Never play music from the phone you are streaming on. Background music helps fill the pauses.

Your look and background

A thought-through look: hair, makeup (natural or glam), stylish clothes. You should look confident and attractive.
No bathrobes, homewear or messy hair on camera.
A quiet place with a tidy background. No clutter, drying laundry or dirty dishes in the frame.
A neutral or cosy background works best: a plain wall, plants, lights, a decorated corner of the room.

Going live

Tap the big central camera button in the app — a preview window opens. Before you start, set up:

Stream title — in English

For example: "Hello, welcome to my broadcast!" or "This is my first video!"

Category

Choose: dancing, singing, talents or just chatting. Location can be turned off or left on — up to you.

Beauty settings — the smiley icon at the bottom

Make sure to tap it: there are sliders that smooth the skin, adjust lighting and add filters. Available during the whole stream — we strongly recommend using them.

3-2-1 — you are live. What now?

From the very first second (not the first minute!) introduce yourself and spend 2–3 minutes telling about yourself:

"Hello! My name is Anastasia, I'm from France (Paris).
I'm new here on LiveMe.
I like dancing, reading and travelling, and I have a cat.
I'm currently a student.
And now — let's enjoy the live!"

Put in your own: name, city, hobbies, pet, studies or work. The main rule — don't read from a paper: prepare in advance so you can speak freely and confidently.

The casting stream is 15+ minutes. But if you stream for a full hour straight away — that day already counts as your first working day as a host: a day counts from 1 hour on air. 🚀

What to fill your stream with

Mix activities to keep the stream interesting: dance a little — then chat — put on your favourite song and sing — then talk to viewers again.

Got a talent — show it. Say: "Hey, I wanna dance for you!" — and dance. Into fitness? Show some exercises.
No special talent? Show yourself as an interesting, charismatic person to talk to — that is a talent too.
Speak other languages (Spanish, Polish, French...)? Say a few phrases — the audience loves it.
Ask your viewers questions — the best way to hold attention.

"Ah, you're from the US? Cool! Which state are you from?"
"Hey, I wanna dance for you!"

Gifts: how to react

When a viewer sends a gift, an animation appears with a line like "Dave sent you 10 Diamonds". Diamonds are the in-app currency that converts to real money. Viewers send gifts to get your attention — so:

Thank everyone — no matter if the gift costs 1 diamond or 100. A sincere reaction motivates people to give more.
Show emotion: surprise, joy, excitement. Always address the person by name.
Thank for likes and shares too — these actions push your stream up in the feed.

"Wow! That's for me? So nice! Thank you so much!"
"Thank you for sharing my broadcast!"
"Follow, like, share! Don't forget to follow me!"
Don't be shy! Everyone's first streams feel awkward. All hosts on the platform repeat these phrases — it's normal and it keeps viewers active.

How to end your stream nicely

Don't just hit the cross — say goodbye to your audience and leave a nice impression. Smile, blow a kiss, wish them a good day:

"Hey guys, thank you so much for being here! This was my first video, and I had such a great time with you. See you next time! Bye-bye! Hugs and kisses!"

A warm ending is the final touch that makes viewers want to come back to your next stream.

Saving the replay and what's next

The "save replay" checkbox at the end of the stream must be ON — otherwise the committee won't see your recording. Never delete your replays!
Watch it back: after a while the replay appears in the replays section of your profile. Check the light, the picture quality and how you look on camera.
Message your agent right away — we submit the recording to the casting committee. Then you just wait for the answer.
If something goes wrong — your agent explains in detail what to fix for the next attempt. You can try more than once.
After a successful casting you are added to the hosts' team chat where the agent shares all the important information.

If English is not your first language

Don't worry — practice on the platform builds the phrases you need surprisingly fast. We give you a list of 15–20 simple expressions that are easy to learn.
You can answer in other languages if a viewer writes in Spanish, Polish or Portuguese. But remember: ~70% of the audience is American, so return to English after a short exchange.

If your mind goes completely blank — smile sweetly, look a little shy and say: "I am sorry, I'm a bit nervous, it's my first time here". Works every time 😊

Platform rules

Breaking them can lead to your stream being closed or your account blocked for several days. The main prohibitions:

Alcohol. Drinking on camera is strictly forbidden — the stream can be shut down.
Smoking. Any kind, including vapes and hookahs, is strictly forbidden.
Erotic content and revealing outfits. Look attractive, but not excessively sexual. Men — no bare torso.
Allowed: a nice neckline if it doesn't look provocative, and aesthetic dance costumes — even for a pole routine.
Propaganda and advertising. No ad posters, political or religious campaigning behind your back.
TV and sound. A TV screen must not be in the frame. Music is allowed but must not drown out your voice.
Children. Streaming with small children in the frame is forbidden.
Don't leave the frame even for a few minutes — if moderators notice your absence, the stream can be ended automatically.
